JJJ's History
The JJJ Foundation, Inc. ("JJJ") is a private family foundation with assets of $2.1 million and a program of grants and grant-related expenses of approximately $70,000 annually. The foundation originated in White Plains, New York and relocated to Boulder County, Colorado in 1991.
The JJJ Foundation was founded in 1985 by Jack Butler to support a broad range of charitable enterprises. Over the years, its focus sharpened to emphasize innovative programs that improved the lives of children. In a rapidly changing world, JJJ has had to remain flexible enough to respond to unique challenges, ideas and projects that lie beyond its originally defined program areas, yet will continue to fill the broad vision of its founder.
JJJ’s Mission
The JJJ Foundation supports creative and innovative ideas that improve the quality of life in Colorado communities. JJJ helps by providing an appropriate mix of creative funding, expertise and leadership to help programs that focus primarily on social and community issues, child development and education, youth, family and women's programs, and the arts. JJJ has a priority for projects that are innovative and achieve a long-lasting and tangible impact.
